WHAT?

Recently, Faith Baptist Church bought a local camp in the Memphis, TN area.  The property has 75 acres and the church staff has offered us the option of building a skate park on the grounds.  We simply need to raise the funds for this park.  Now this is not cheap.  Our board estimates this project to cost in excess of $150,000, however what seems impossible with man, is possible with God.

WHY?

This skatepark will give us a great opportunity for growth. We can skate more and break down our sessions by age groups.  Something we badly need.  It also reduces the great amount of physical efforts of moving ramps in and out of storage every two weeks.  Honestly, we can’t tell you how big of a deal this would be in one page.

But more importantly, our own skatepark at The Grove at Red Oak Lake will allow FaithSkate the first and only skate ministry in the world that offers a Christian skate camp.  Skate camps (summer camp for skaters) is a fast growing trend in the industry.  Here’s just two examples of such camps, Camp Woodward and Element Skate Camp.  This would allow us to expand our ministry literally around the country.
